Ben Affleck caught in gross act after Jennifer Garner shut down any hopes of a reunion

Ben Affleck was spotted spitting on the sidewalk while out for a stroll with his son Samuel.

The father-son duo enjoyed a day out in Los Angeles over the weekend when Ben was pictured spitting out a mass of saliva and phlegm. Ben made sure not to hit his son with his spit as he turned his head in the opposite direction before letting it out.

The Good Will Hunting star, 52, kept it casual for the outing as he wore a gray zip sweater and a plain white T-shirt. He also opted for a pair of dark jeans and some navy boots.

Ben sported a beard and carried around a white box. His outing with Samuel comes after the actor sparked romance rumors with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Ben and Jennifer seemed to be very close when they were spotted paintballing in Los Angeles for their son's birthday. In snaps from the outing, Ben wrapped his arm around his ex-wife while others showed them laughing together.

However, a source has claimed Jennifer has shut down any potential rekindling of their romance. The source said the former flames are simply "good friends."

They also slammed the romance speculation as "ridiculous." Another source suggested to Page Six that Ben is "open" to the idea of getting back together with Jennifer, but insisted the "feeling is not mutual."

Instead, they said Jennifer is "happy" with her current partner John Miller. The 13 Going On 30 actress has been dating John for seven years. The source added, "Jen has a great co-parenting relationship with Ben, and that’s where things stand on her end at the moment."

Another source told the publication Ben would "love another chance" with Jennifer and is "open to giving things another shot." However, they also admitted, "Ben knows it’s just not realistic at this time in their lives."

They added, "Ben just got out of a marriage and finalized his divorce [from Jennifer Lopez], he is really busy with work and is focused on this new chapter. Plus, Ben respects Jen’s relationship with John and would never come between them."

Jennifer was married to Ben from 2005 to 2015. They share three children together - 19-year-old daughter Violet Rose, 16-year-old daughter Seraphina Rose and 13-year-old son Samuel.

Ben recently finalized his divorce from singer J.Lo. The former flames tied the knot in 2022 but were only married for two years before the actress filed for divorce in 2024.
