This seems like the right thing to do. The problem with letting people make up their own minds is twofold -- the first is that NK tries to use these people for larger policy objectives, and second, when they are detained, their families look to the USG to "do something." The fact that Otto's father blames Obama for not having rescued his son fits this pattern. So it's never really just a private adventure. Cuba and Libya and other countries never tried to threaten American citizens the way NK has.

Finally a travel ban that makes good sense.

I look forward to the day where citizens from the DPRK can travel freely and widen their horizons. Horizons so limited because of the Kim dynasty.
